A day ago I tried uploading an mp3 file. It told mp3 files weren't allowed so after messing with the settings I found that the category it was under wasn't allowed and I changed all of the attachment groups to be allowed. I tried it again this time there was no message. It just quietly ignored the file. I found the upload size limit and increased and it worked. Today I tried uploading and exe file next and set exe as an allowed extension. It quietly ignored the file and I tried putting it in an rar file and the same thing happened. I can't upload those and maybe many other filetypes. I don't know which others. I just know that mp3 worked a day ago. It's under the same group as exe.

Just checked mp3 files. They've stopped working to.

The upload work well, for files less then 5mb if i remember well. I do not remember the limit that i set up. Anyway if the limit it is passed you will see an error telling you what was the limit.
About the upload exe files, it is normal because that kind of files can create problems to the system, can contain viruses, etc.
PhpBB3 forums are created for add, images, and other small files, and they are not intended to be a file sharing software.
Anyway, try to add a zip file for example.

It is impossible to work one day, and the next day to not work. Maybe you have a very slow internet connection and the server cut the connection with the uploaded files. I do not know. But we can investigate the problem if you wish and you give us the exact file and the forum where you wanted to attach

I just found out that it's uploading files smaller than 10mb. I'm not getting any error messages with larger ones though. It just ignores the file. I checked my statistics on my internet connection and it uploads and goes all the way through then on my forum the file is just ignored as if it was never sent. On the settings it said set to 0 for infinite. As I currently don't have many users (4 or 5) I went ahead and did it. I guess that is just with the phpbb code and not this servers code? I guess I'll find a file host and post a link.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

Hello !

Yes 10 Mb it is the limit and it was created because we are not a file sharing host. Even 10Mb it is high enough for normal user needs.

Anyway, i will send you a PM with my e-mail address. Please send me there a small file that it is ignored and i will see what i can do. Also, please send me your forum name to look exactly to the problem !
