#1- How can I stop the Welcome email from being sent to new members of my forum?
#2- Is there any way I can add some text into the top of the forum (header?)?
#3- When I go to my forum now, I just see the top part of the forum (User Name / Register boxes are all that is showing. I do not see the various 'forums.' How can I change this so the entire Index page shows?
#4- And when it is possible to see the entire Index page, is there a way I can change it so that visitors can only see the Index page, but cannot read each message? I want visitors to be only able to read the messages if they register.

(So many places to check and uncheck. Very confusing for us beginners.)
