Okay, I don't use the Portal on my forum. I just have it setup so that it goes straight into the forum index itself. But, was wondering can I STILL use the NEWS feature to display news from a certain hidden forum folder?

I've seen some forums that have the NEWS feed display at the top or bottom of their regular forums and that seems like a good idea.

Is it possibly and if so how would I go about it? I tried turning on the NEWS section in the admin config but nothing happened. Thanks for any info on this.
